Since he was my dad, I may be biased, but I think that Norman Macrae was the greatest pro-youth economist since james wilson (whose 170th birthday of founding The Economist will occur in 2013)
I believe james would have loved student entreopreneur competitions as the most economical breakthrough of the net generation so far especially when they free student entreprenusr to question the deepest value that producers of different market categories can serve (in rekation to milennium goals or other extreme innovation chalenges)
I have very little doubt that james wislo would vote dr yunus and sir fazle abed as the 2 greatest living pro-youth economists i particularly enjoy any collaboration journalism possible associated with these 2 leaders hosting of student jobs competitions- the yunus ones i know of well enough to try and linkin stduent teans so far are
Georgia 2011-2012-2013
Oregon 2012
Alabama 2013
MIT 2013 yunus prize
I very much look forward to any colaboratiion journalis opportunities of student entrepreneur competitions. For example I know Tokyo is host a 12000 live student sb competition on 30 january but I myself am lingusitically handicapped- in spite of dad dforecasting back i 1962 that japan was the economy most pivoital to how all open economies linked in to 2075, I have never succeeded in learning japanse
